Bio

My wonderfully Godly adoptive parents made sure my time was spent in either school, church or music lessons. In college I started performing and playing in bands and acquired a deadly combination of punk and faith.

Naturally, that lead to a graduate degree at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. And like all good Biblical scholars, I became a graphic designer, eventually ending up as an art director at Paramount Pictures. While chasing after an MFA, I rediscovered the music inside me and started teaching in University. There were a few concerts, five album releases, and fun all around.

But running parallel to all this was a dark addiction that deepened and grabbed tighter and tighter. It cost me every relationship, and eventually my job, my freedom and all the things I thought were mine. One night all I had was a desperate four word prayer, “God, I’m so scared”.

The miracle of God’s grace overtook me, and all the faith in my past came back to life. In a single moment His compassion took away the darkness that I had given myself to, humbled my heart, and showed me forgiveness.

…and now music and writing is what I do full-time. Honesty. Change. Thankfulness. Grace.
